Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a skilled Graphic Designer to join our Design and Digital Services team. This role is pivotal in transforming creative concepts into visual narratives that support our marketing and communications efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams alongside a senior designer or project manager to produce graphic materials for various communications and marketing initiatives, encompassing both client and internal projects (e.g., infographics, web banners, posters, and process diagrams).
- Act as a visual storyteller, delivering creative solutions that articulate key messages derived from scripts, content, or stakeholder feedback.
- Produce original design concepts aimed at engaging target audiences and meeting communication objectives.
- Develop and present design proposals to clients or project teams.
- Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.
- Create document templates for Microsoft Office applications intended for reports, presentations, and proposals.
- Ensure adherence to accessibility standards (including Section 508) and maintain uniform branding across all materials.
- Leverage industry insights to rapidly formulate innovative design solutions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Photography, Communications, Media, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in a creative agency, communications/marketing firm, government consulting, or nonprofit sector.
- A comprehensive design portfolio demonstrating proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Competence in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create and format design documents and infographics.
- Strong comprehension of design principles including typography, layout, color consistency, and brand identity.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities, underscored by meticulous attention to detail.
- A team-oriented individual with interpersonal skills adept at collaborative work, whether remotely or independently.
- Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects while adhering to deadlines.
- U.S. work authorization is necessary; sponsorship is not available.
- Must qualify to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
